Welcome to the Women CANdidates program of Women Act. This program is fully sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Greece and the Office of Alumni Affairs within the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, as part of the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund.
These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulation for use of Women’s CANdidates website and appropriate engagement with Women CANdidates and its members/users via its social media channels.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties hereto pertaining to the subject matter hereof, and all prior or contemporaneous written or oral agreements existing between the parties hereto are expressly canceled. No waiver by either party of any breach or default hereunder shall be deemed to be a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach or default. Any heading, caption, or paragraph title contained in this Agreement is inserted only as a matter of convenience and in no way defines or explains any paragraph or provision hereof.

Your access to some areas of the Website may be subject to certain requirements in Women’s Act discretion. Women Act retains the right to customise information displayed on user profiles at any time, and feature or not feature profiles as in search results at its discretion.
“womencandidates.gr” and all sub domain’s like (www.womencandidates.gr etc.) is a trademark of Women CANdidates program of Women Act. All other trademarks and/or service marks used in the Site are the trademarks and/or service marks of their respective third-party owner(s). Nothing contained on the Site should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any trademark and/or service mark displayed on the Site without the written permission of Women Act or such third-party owner(s). You acknowledge that Women Act will aggressively fully enforce its intellectual property rights of the law, including, without limitation, the seeking of criminal prosecution.

Women Act has no obligation to monitor the Site or Site-related services. However, you acknowledge and agree that Women Act has the right to monitor the Site and Site-related services, including without limitation chat rooms and forums, and to disclose to any third party any information in order to operate the Site properly, to protect itself and its customers and to comply with legal obligations or governmental requests. Women Act reserves the right to refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, that are unacceptable, offensive or in violation of this Agreement. Women Act also reserves the right to immediately terminate any individual’s use of the Site and/or such user’s password(s) or account(s) in the event of any conduct by such user which Women Act, in its sole discretion, considers to be unacceptable, or in the event of any breach by such user of this Agreement. Such termination may occur without notice to the user. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Women Act from and against any and all claims, damages, costs or other expenses that arise directly or indirectly out of or from (a) your breach of this Agreement, (b) your violation of these Terms and Conditions and/or (c) your activities in connection with the Site or Site-related services.
Your use of the discussion forum will constitute your agreement to comply with these terms of use: 1. You agree not to use any obscene or offensive language to place on discussion forums including any material that is profane, inaccurate, defamatory, false, inappropriate, threatening, hateful, constitutes junk mail or unauthorized advertising, infringes on any person’s privacy, violates copyright laws, encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise be in violation of any local, state, national, or international law or regulation. Women Act reserves the right to remove any such content at any time without your consent. 2. To maintain a high-quality content, Women Act reserves the right to remove messages we assess to be inappropriate or off topic and conduct editing we identify as reasonable. 3. You agree to the use of forum for only lawful purposes and those that serve to act as a professional resource to you personally. 4. It is your responsibility as a women candidate member to exercise your judgment in evaluating or utilising any information shared within the discussion forum for the express use in your program. We encourage you to confirm the information shared in the discussion forum with other peer-reviewed sources before undertaking any action on it. 5. We do not assume any responsibility for any websites or resources that are linked to our site or that you browse as a result of a referral you gained through a link posted on the discussion forum. 6. You can use the contact us link on our site to send us comments and/or criticisms regarding content posted and we welcome any feedback related to the content and administration of the discussion forum. However, we reserve the right to make final decisions on all content posted. 7. You acknowledge and agree that, by submitting any text, images, data, or other materials (“Content”) to Women Act, you grant to Women Act a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide right and license to link to, use, reproduce, transmit, modify, adapt, publish, display, distribute, translate, and sublicense such material (in whole or in part) and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media or technology now known or hereafter developed for the full term of any copyright that may exist in such material. Further, by submitting Content to Women CANdidates, you acknowledge that you have the authority to grant such rights to Women Act. By entering this site, you acknowledge and agree that any communication or material you transmit to this site, in any manner and for any reason, will not be treated as confidential or proprietary. The foregoing provisions regarding Content are for the benefit of Women Act, its subsidiaries, and its third-party content providers and licensors, and each shall have the right to assert and enforce those provisions directly or on its own behalf.
Any comments or materials sent to Women CANdidates program, including but not limited to feedback data, comments and suggestions (“Feedback”), shall be deemed to be non-confidential. Women Act shall have no obligation of any kind with respect to such Feedback and shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, exhibit, display, transform, create derivative works and distribute the Feedback to others without limitation. Further, Women Act shall be free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in such Feedback for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to developing, manufacturing and marketing products incorporating such Feedback.
Women Act shall have the right at any time to (a) change the terms of this Agreement, (b) change the Site, including eliminating or discontinuing any content or feature of the Site, restricting the hours of availability, or limiting the amount of use permitted. Such changes, modifications, additions, or deletions shall be effective immediately upon notice thereof, which may be given by means including, but not limited to, posting on the Site, or by electronic mail, or by conventional mail. Your use of the Site after such notice shall be deemed to constitute your acceptance of such changes, modifications, additions, or deletions. You are expected to review this Agreement periodically to ensure familiarity with the most current version.
In the event of a dispute between a user/member and Women Act which cannot be resolved in mediation using the services of a Women Act Certified Mediator -in which process you agree to participate in good faith if and when proposed to you-,you agree that this agreement is entered into in Greece and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece, exclusive of its choice of law rules. Each party to this Agreement submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Country and federal courts sitting in the City of Athens, Greece, and waives any jurisdictional, venue or inconvenient forum objections to such courts. In any action to enforce this Agreement, the prevailing party will be entitled to costs and attorneys’ fees.
Except for confidential information received in connection with any dispute resolution proceedings, Women Act do not wish to receive any confidential or proprietary information from you via the Website or associated online services. You agree that any confidential information you provide outside of such proceedings, including without limitation any concepts, ideas, plans, techniques or any other content from you, may be used by Women Act in any manner without restriction.
The failure of Women Act to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of these Terms of Use is found to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties’ intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of these Terms of Use remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
Daimler uses so-called social plugins (‘buttons’) for social networks such as Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. When you visit our website these buttons are deactivated by default, i.e. without your intervention they will not send any data to third parties. Before you are able to use these buttons, you must activate them by clicking on them. They then remain active until you deactivate them again or delete your cookies (see also ‘Cookies’). Once activated, a direct link to the server of the respective social network is established. The contents of the button are then transmitted from the social network directly to your browser which incorporates it in the website. Please note that we have no influence on the scope of data that is collected by social networks through their buttons. The data use policies of the social networks provide information on the purpose and extent of the data that they collect, how this data is processed and used, the rights available to you and the settings that you can use to protect your privacy. Once a button is activated, the social network can retrieve data, independently of whether you interact with the button or not. If you are logged on to a social network, the network can associate your visit to the website with your user account. A social network cannot associate visits to other Daimler websites unless and until you activate the respective button there as well. If you are a member of a social network and do not wish it to associate data retrieved from your visit to our websites with your membership data, you must log out from the social network concerned before activating the buttons.
